Rolling Fork’s Sunflower Corner was the place to be on the evening of March 26, 2026. Keith Johnson and the Big Muddy Band set the tone for a great weekend in the delta. The sun was shining, the breeze blowing, and the community was filled with hope and a sense that nothing can stop us from keeping our mojo working.
Several food trucks came out to share their talents and most left at the end of the night completely sold out and asking when the next event will be! Eventgoers were able to sample delicious icees, fresh lemonade, chicken and waffles, egg rolls of all kinds, and cupcakes to top it all off.
This event was in part, made possible from a grant from Mississippi’s Delta National Heritage Association awarded to Mississippi’s Lower Delta Partnership. The Festival/Event Grant, through MDNHA, is a $5,000 reimbursement grant award for organizations planning a community festival or event that stimulates tourism in the Mississippi Delta.
We are hopeful that this event will be a kicking off point to getting a sense of normalcy back to the area following the devastation of a tornado and ice storm. Continue to watch our social media and websites to follow along with what LDP is working on across the Delta.
