Vicksburg Area Nature GuideWildlife viewing and nature tourism opportunities within 30 miles of Vicksburg, Mississippi

The Vicksburg Area Nature Guide describes some of the more outstanding nature areas and wildlife watching spots within the 30 miles of Vicksburg. many of these sites are on the National Audubon Society’s Great River Birding Trail, which extends the entire length of the Mississippi River.

The Guide includes site details, maps, directions to the sites, a list of activities for each site, and photos. The area is divided into regions: South Delta, Vicksburg and the Hill Country, Just across the River, and finally, a list of regional trails and scenic roads in the area and a list of river tours and special events.

Use this guide to plan your next outdoor adventure along our nation’s greatest river, the Mississippi River.  Here you will find fish and wildlife in abundance, friendly and hospitable people, good places to eat and lodging. Enjoy outstanding year-round opportunities to refresh yourself in the out-of-doors!
